Why It Matters

The Financial Literacy Crisis

Most young people enter adulthood without the skills to manage money — and the consequences are real.

76%

of teens feel unprepared to manage their personal finances

$1.77T

in student loan debt across the U.S. — much of it avoidable with better financial education

2 in 3

young adults cannot pass a basic financial literacy quiz

Start Early, Win Big

Financial habits formed in middle and high school carry into adulthood. Students who learn budgeting, saving, and credit management early are far less likely to fall into debt traps, and far more likely to build long-term wealth.

MoneyQuest turns these critical lessons into an engaging space adventure — because the best time to learn about money is before you have to make real decisions with it.

Origin Story

Built by a High School Student

Student Creator
HIGH SCHOOL DEVELOPER

MoneyQuest wasn't built by a company or a curriculum publisher — it was created by a high school student who saw a gap: financial literacy education that actually engages young people.

Frustrated by dry textbooks and worksheets that failed to connect with students, the creator designed MoneyQuest from the ground up as an immersive, game-based experience — combining real financial education with the kind of interactive gameplay that keeps students coming back.

The result is a program that speaks the language of its audience: built by a student, for students.
